An integrated software solution improving the operations management of the Datacentre in Madrid

Client profile

Interxion provides hosting services for independent datacentres in Europe – 34 datacentres in 11 European countries. The datacentres of Interxion are designed uniformly and in-line with the latest energy efficiency standards. Interxion provides its clients with stability and uninterrupted availability of critical applications.

The challenge

Improvement of the monitoring systems

Our client wanted to improve its monitoring systems in order to be able to better control the infrastructure providing services to its clients. They required an analysis of the monitoring systems. Interxion and ISOIN collaborated closely to design and develop a set of tools integrating all management functions providing information on operating a datacentre. As a result, information fragmentation was prevented giving the people in charge a holistic overview and enabling faster and better decisions.

The solution

Assets management and unification of monitoring tools

None of the assets management solutions available on the market suited the high requirements of Interxion. ISOIN was chosen as the most suitable candidate to provide Interxion with an integrated solution. The application developed, acted as a single hub for managing the assets of the datacentre infrastructure. A set of powerful monitoring tools were bond together in one. This way, all data is being collected in a single application improving the time required for the information analysis.

Javier Montemayor

Operations Manager

“Several months after we integrated the monitoring tools of ISOIN, we noticed a significant decrease in the operating response times. That, allowed us to analyse the data more efficiently, obtain valuable information and improve our processes. We are now able to react proactively in case of an incident and significantly improve the quality of the services we provide to our clients.”

* Data collected 6 months after implementation of the tool and compared to the average of previous historical data.
